Over 50 years of stone
Gunleif Borsheim was founded as a sole proprietorship in 1969
Gunleif began his career operating tractor excavators, digging trenches for farmers across the Jæren region. Soon, he moved on to working with a Brøyt 21TL excavator, taking on more complex projects. In the early years of his career, he tackled a variety of challenging tasks, from excavating manure cellars and repairing small harbors to dredging in the harbors at Reve and Sele. He even built a stone small harbor in the heart of Tananger. Over the years, Gunleif dug countless house foundations, demolished old buildings, and contributed his expertise to the Hegre-Skas canal project in Sandnes Municipality in 1990. His hands-on experience laid the foundation for a long-standing tradition of excellence in construction and stonework.
From 1978
From 1978, there was a lot of setting up of boundary walls for farmers and later also decorative walls around private houses. The assignments range from Egersund in the south to Stavanger in the north. Major projects include the expansion of the E39 motorway, the bicycle/pedestrian path along Hafrafjord and the freight terminal.

Installation of stone saws in the Machine House at Bore to enhance the production of slabs, small street stones, kerbstones, and stair treads.
2011
Started the company by crushing stone in a quarry in Hellvik, which eventually became loose stone. The stones were used to create stone walls that were straighter in shape than before. The company also delivered
steps, tables and benches in Hellvikstein.2007
Changed name to Borsheim as
2004
We had our first stone quarry at Heigre in Sandnes municipality, so we became self-sufficient in materials for the stone gardens we produced.
1978

1969
