The fountain that has been installed and the water make the blue crystals in the Hellvik stone stand out particularly well. The Dalane region has a very special type of rock called anorthosite. Anorthosite also has a unique play of colours with shades of brown and blue and is often referred to as "Blue Antique". So it's extra special that the square in Egersund was built with local stone, which is truly locally sourced.
